Are you in a battle with your inner saboteur?
What is your inner saboteur? it's that little voice that makes you doubt yourself. It's the little annoying voice that tells you that you can't do something that you really want to do. That inner voice, if not tamed, can make you miss out on so many opportunities. Doubt delays manifestations, and in some cases can completely kill them. "But do not doubt, for the minute doubt steps in, a mental division descends, as doubt is the devil" ( Neville Goddard) The inner saboteur will constantly betray you and thwart your efforts. He pretends to be your friend, but is quick to turn his back on you and your dreams. The focus should be on killing the inner saboteur.
How do we kill our inner saboteur?
1. Affirm the opposite of what the inner saboteur is saying - If you are having feelings of not having enough money or the little voice is telling you that you don't have enough start affirming the opposite. " I am wealthy" "Money flows to me easily" You say these affirmations over and over until the thought is second nature. I have also found it very useful to sing affirmations to my favorite tunes. For instance, I changed Iggy Azalea's "I'm so fancy" to "I'm so wealthy". I think that when you just say affirmations over and over it feels very fake, but if you sing them they feel natural and it's a lot of fun. lol
2. Examine and understand the root cause of the belief - I am almost certain that if you took the time you can remember the incident that caused you to develop this limiting belief. Most limiting beliefs are developed as a form of protection from that particular situation. Self-preservation is automatic. When we understand that hurt and pain does not have to be a part of life, it is then that we can let go of the beliefs that we developed to shield us from hurt and pain. Joy is where you come from, and joy is your natural state. We must let go of beliefs that block us from joy.
3. Make peace with feelings and desires that are socially unacceptable - Yup! We all have them. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have some as well. Life is about duality. What goes up, must come down. There is black and white in this world. We can not fully embrace one without accepting the other. When you make peace with these feelings it is then that you can control them. You will no longer be burdened by them.
